Motherboard Screws

Hi,

Does anyone know the exact size of the the screws that hold the motherboard into the case and a retailer i can purchase them from?

No, because it varies depending on the metal standoffs; some take a screw that has what I'll call an "expanding thread", ie. the threaded shaft gets larger as you get closer to the screw head. Others take a screw with a shaft that is the same size throughout.

Also, there's no reason you must use screws with metal off-sets. You can use plastice off-sets just as well.

The screws i have dont expand there same size through out I just need to get some replacement ones any idea?

Screws.

Other option is to take a standoff (assuming they're removable) to a tech store, and see if you can match them to something in the inventory.

Or try eBay, and search for "screws assorted" in the Computer category.

I just took a standoff into a hardware store and found a screw that fit it. The guy at the hardware store gave me a dirty look when I bought nothing but one tiny screw though.
