Motherboard Temp Sensors Messed up

I have ASUS P5GDC-V deluxe with 2.8 GHZ Intel P4 and 512MBx2 Corsair Value Ram DDR2 and 450W power supply.

My comp starts and then suddenly stops in 50 secs arnd.
It correctly detects everything in BIOS.

I somehow managed to enter BIOS for sometime and looked at the Hardware Monitor showing my CPU temp as 102 deg celsius and Mobo temp 33 deg Celsius.

Now this is crazy! Clearly not possible (or is it?)

Can something be wrong with the temp sensors on my mobo? Should I put the temp sensors to IGNORE ? What are the dangers? Any ANY ANY solutions?
I am at my (small) wits end here

Many times the motherboard companies don't add the lates CPU Microcode to released BIOS's. Sometimes the opposite is true though. They might remove older CPU codes to make room for newer microcodes. The BIOS companies like AMI, Award and Phoenix release these microcodes to the motherboard companies regularly to keep pace with Intel or AMD.

Ok so my advice, try an older BIOS or try a newer BIOS. Then re-check the CPU temps. The temps are not correct! If you don't want to risk a BIOS flash, you can buy a BIOS chip already programmed here: BIOS update
