Nforce 2 vs KT400/600 budget board shootout. Throw in a couple of the more expensive boards as well. Practical vs. "bells and whistles". Also using midrange video cards, you know real world systems that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to set up.

I would appreciate greatly a comparison or review of all or one of those Micro ATX motherboard that are recommended by AMD for the Athlon 64. I need one of those to fit my new coolermaster desktop case.
Biostar----K8NHA-M
Gigabyte----K8VT800M
MSI----MS-6741 (I cannot find this one anywhere)

Thank you

Some kind of final, epic showdown between the latest Athlon XP chipsets: KT600, KT800 (or is it 880?), nForce2 400, nForce 2 Ultra 400, SiS 748, and possibly an ATi chipset go head-to-head for ultimate glory. Include winners for highest performance, best cheap board, and best price to performance/feature set.

A round up of Socket 754 motherboards.
With 2-3 boards of each chipset. Info/Pre/Review on the new S754 chipsets as well, like the nForce3 Pro 250Gb & the KT8T880.

Could be handy, as alot of ppl seem to be going A64 in the New Year.

I'LL throw my 2 cents in. I am looking for a review of the Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000PRO if not already available somewhere.

I bought the ECS 755-A and found the bios a bit different than the chipset reference board already reviewed. For instance, I couldn't find a pci lock - and had some difficulty overclocking.

Anyway - I'd like to see the ECS 755a looked at - it's the least expensive A64 mainboard at $74.

ECS 755-A, please. Preferably by next week, since my present system (K6-400) seems to be giving up the ghost.

There's been a lot of rhapsodizing about the SiS 755 reference board but no test of the real thing.

I'd like to see any of the Neo2 P-series boards. I haven't seen one review on them yet and would very much like to see one

This would be great....if done, could you please include one of the Gigabyte GA-7N400 series?

I'm pretty new here, but before most people spend a significant amount of cash to buy a new system, they first spend a much smaller amount to upgrade their PC (thus giving it more life before having to lay down the serious cash). Has AnandTech ever done some sort of evaluation to show people what the different performance levels would be if you upgraded? For instance, not everyone has MB with 8X AGP, yet all the newer cards have 8X capability - what's the performance difference if a person wants to use their current MB with 4X as opposed to newer 8X?

All the same, AnandTech is a great website!

Because A:

and B:

Not everyone has the same general speaker setup. a 4.1 isn't comparable to 2.1 or 7.1

Also this is motherboards not peripherals.

Edit:

A review of preformance 754 MBs

I'd personally like to see...

Logitech Z-5300s 5.1s
Logitech Z-680s 5.1s

Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1s
Promedia GMX 5.1s

Creative Gigaworks S700 5.1s
Creative Inspire GD580 5.1s

Just a thought

Haha, don't worry, we're looking into a dedicated speaker/sound editor as I speak.

I'd perfer if AnAndtech.com did a broad varity of products as well as motherboards. Sound Quality is opinionated? In general most people dont like static and some dont have enough money for a high quality 5.1 system but would like to get some half decent 2.1s.

Then what? We all know the 133 MB/s legacy PCI bus will make it crawl, not fly.
