The test I always say is if you have World of Warcraft, load up a gnome or dwarf character. These races start in a snowy area. Find a dark colored boar (they are right outside of town). Pan around while focusing on the boar. The background should be the snow. You will very very clearly see motion blur.
Having said that, I kept it just because it is so large and so beautiful in many ways. The motion blur I am slowly getting over.

FW900 is an ok monitor, but it's been around for quite a while now, and is antiquated, to say the least. I hope you like it, but I think the better choice would have been the 2405.

Im sure the 2405FPW is a great monitor but I'd like the ability to run multiple resolutions without sacrificing image quality ,the FW900 can run widescreen resolutions such as 1600x1024, 1680x1050, 1920x1080 , 1920x1200, 2304 x 1440 etc. making it more flexible for Gaming & Movies... And of course motion blur wont be a factor.
The person that owns both monitors in this pic prefers gaming on the FW900 so it must be a pretty good monitor. It was sony's absolute highest end model and retailed for $2,300 ..I got it for $410 shipped so we'll see how it goes.
You're aware that the 2405 can run these same resolutions (except > 1920x1200) with relative easy, with the ability to properly scale based on 3 different options?
but I guarantee you that next to a good CRT you will notice the ghosting in about 3 minutes and I do feel bad for anybody that got the sweet screen real estate and has to deal with ghosting problems.

Exactly what I did and ended up sending it back to Dell, this was a 2001FP.. With both monitors side by side running dual monitor it was very obvious that a high end CRT is still the best gaming display for various reasons.

Go see your eye doctor. You basically just called everyone here that has one blind, when it's apparent you have the problem.
