not that that wouldn't void any warranty he had on the phone. I really wish they would offer versions of the phone without the camera. I think I used my camera about 3 times before I realized that if I really want a picture I'll pull out my nice digital camera and take one (plus then it looks a whole lot better).

not that that wouldn't void any warranty he had on the phone. I really wish they would offer versions of the phone without the camera. No kidding. It's pretty difficult to get a nice cameraless phone these days. you have to get the piece of crap free phones.

My company purchased about 30 of the Razor phones....Verizon and Cinigular I believe

So far about 15 of them have failed.....bad screens, keys not working, static.

3 of the units were dead within a week.



IMHO.... I won't buy one....nor do I want one.

I had this phone for a while and it's okay. I would give it 3/5. Sometimes it lags when you look over your phone book, or when dialing numbers.

I don't think it's worth the $600 I spend on it orignially but $75 w/2 years contract might be worth while if you're not into changing phones every year.

Are there ever deals for people who just want to get a new phone with the same carrier? My cingular contract will expire soon and all the phones I've been looking at are ridiculously expensive if you aren't a new customer.

You would have to sign a new contract to get the deal. I NEVER go to an actual Cingular store cause they RAPE you every which way they can.

Try BestBuy or any small store that deals with Cingular and the deals there are way better.

That's what I thought too but I bought it anyways back in january and I would trade this phone for the world. While it wide, it's very thin and that counts a lot because it can sit very confortably in you pocket. Most of the time I can barely tell the phone is in my pocket. According to Cingular, the phone insurance options to get another RAZR if this one busts is not covered.. they dont cover this phone because of its retail $$$.

Also, the battery life on this phone is supposed to be the worst!
and it doesnt support the EDGE (hispeed) data mode that even the cheapie
Moto V551 has.
I like the style of it, but its fragile, would rather have v551 and the EDGe support

Verizon doesn't offer the Razr - I believe it's GSM-only, and only offered through Cingular.

If 1/2 of the units failed, Motorala would not be in business due to the overwhelming RMA costs that they would have to eat. I guarantee you this was probably a) user error or b) these phones were not from the same stockpile that get sold to consumers (you mentioned the company got 30 at one time )

I got mine yesterday and this is a sweet phone...best phone IO have owned so far and I have owned alot of them..
