To work better with the business search feature, which would be retarded as it isn't included on the Moto X (thankfully).

WTF is the business search feature?

You can type in, say 'pizza' and your local pizzeria shows up.

Silly that it isn't being rolled out to all devices. There should also be an option to default to the normal dialer. So far it hasn't bothered me though.

The dialer is fine as it is.

I dial numbers once a month, if that. Why should the pad be so prominent?

because a lot of people are dialiang new numbers somewhat often

You're surprised a company with a huge focus on search is incorporating a way for you to search inside your dialer?

I agree it doesn't necessarily make sense on a smartphone where you can pretty much search anywhere. Regardless, I think it's a nice addition.

The only problem I had with the original dialer was that you couldn't tap numbers and have it auto-suggest matches. My HTC phones did that and it's much better than searching with a full alphanumeric search box. Glad it's here in the updated dialer and I'm okay with the other changes too.

This was added 4.3, not 4.4. 4.4 took it to another level.

motorola phones--actually all android phones--get really slow after about a year, so in about 9 months youre gonna start hearing all these motox owners complaining about how unresponsive their phone is

Played with my buddy's Moto X yesterday. VERY nice! Felt like a display model compared to my iPhone 4S haha. Amazing how cell phones are getting today. I was also pleased with the usability of Android, lots of nice little features like "OK Google" etc.

As sweenish noted, it's a stock 4.3 feature. Which I consider hilarious given that it's been in Sense (and Touchwiz?) since at least the days of Froyo.

Anyhow, looks like the AT&T update is rolling out.

Unfortunately, there seems to be a bug with the KitKat email app's exchange support that affects all devices running 4.4. Though looking at the bug report, it appears the fix has been identified, so hopefully an app update will be forthcoming.

Really? So because we didn't get the newest quad-core dick-boosting 8-inch phone it's going to get slow? Because that's all you ever have to say. Take your FUD out of this thread.

Android phones do have a habit of getting slow after a while. I'm hoping 4.3+ will help fix that with the help of FSTRIM.

He considers any phone that doesn't have next years chip obsolete, unusable and a waste of money. Ignore him.

4.2 on the X implements trim on the f2fs (data) partition according to Brian's review.

Yup, one of the reasons I liked it from the beginning. My buddy's GS3 perpetually gets slowed down after a while, I'm hoping the upgrade to 4.3 will help that and other Android phones thanks to fstrim.

I like the phone a lot. It's thin, great screen, nice features, good price. Only complaint is the camera isn't as good as I think it should be.

my complaint with the camera is its inconsistency. if it were mediocre all the time, fine, but that's not the case. sometimes it's good... next shot horrible. Overall the phone is the best I have personally used. those that mock it, talk smack about specs are naive/ignorant to how good it really is

Funny. My Nexus 4 is running just as fast as the day I got it, if not faster thanks to 4.3. No restores. And this is after a year.
