It's $432 on T-Mobile today. Hmm, buy at that price or get straight from Google for less... :hmm:
I would think they charge that much because if you're buying it outright, T-Mobile isn't getting any profit unless you're using their network or their profit margin is very tiny. They could have purchased the phones for $400 per and sell them at that much to make up for the cost.
Also, the Google Play version is more than likely (but I don't think ever confirmed) heavily subsidized due to Google getting money from app sales, rentals, etc.. So while the phone might have cost $500 to make, Google tosses their own money to LG so it only costs us $299 and $349 respectively which then we pay Google back by using their services, buying their products, etc..
