Moto X Pure getting Nougat?

It's been out for way too long to not have hit my Moto X Pure Edition. Anyone here get Nougat on their Moto X yet? (Verizon). I've been hearing that it is coming for over a year. Androidforums posted at the end of Sept. that folks were beginning to receive it. Not this fella..

I have the same phone (nice phone overall) but on Tmobile. Still on Android 6 and the security patch is 12/16 I believe. Lenovo has not been great since taking over Motorola.

I've got no issues with anything on Marshmallow, but having the promised update to Nougat would be nice.

There is a workaround - technically Nougat is pushed, but only to Sprint (not sure why). People have been using blank Sprint sims to initiate the 7.x upgrade.

Just got the Nougat 7.0 update for my Pure 2015.
Fingers crossed it's not a step backwards.

I'm at work, but have wifi and d/l'ed it this morning but haven't been able to mess with it too much. But, so far it is fairly transparent. It does seem a little snappier...

I think the battery life might be a little shorter. But other than that, I like it.

Just got my nougat update notification last night, updated and no issues.

My battery life seems about the same, maybe a bit worse, but barely noticeable. One thing I'm happy about is that this phone used to have all kinds of odd screen issues. Going black, not being able to wake it without restart. weirdness. But after the update it no longer does those things. It finally works properly lol.

That was a nice benefit, LPCTech! My battery life didn't drop tremendously, but enough to notice. I have a routine that I follow Monday-Friday and I know what my battery percentage was when I got home from work before/after Nougat. It's about 10% lower on a daily basis. I can live with that.

Too bad it's not getting Oreo.. maybe it's finally time to root my Moto X.

Oreo would run fine. It's just past the two-year update window.

I will probably be ready for a new phone. However, I don't go through phones every year, lol.
