Moto X Style/Pure hype thread

Are there Moto X (vanilla, I suppose) and then Moto X Pure/Style?

This is what's killing me also. If you asked me for an ideal phone size in 2013, I probably would've said 4.5"-4.7". If you ask me now, I would say it's 5.0"-5.2", with minimal bezels. I absolutely hate big phones, and see no purpose for them. I love consuming media, but I don't consume it on my phone personally. I have tablets and other devices for that.

I'm not saying don't make big phones, but give the options to consumers for smaller phones. I want something w/ the power of Moto X in a Moto G size. They could have a new SKU: the Moto X+ which would have the same internals as the Moto X, but just a bigger display. If you have options, everyone wins.

I did receive my Moto G 2015 (aka 3rd. gen) yesterday, and it's a nice phone. I got the 2GB RAM/16 GB version, and for the price, it's great. The power user in me wishes it was slightly faster, or had a better display/camera, but I can't complain considering what it's worth.

This is correct. Which is why Sony is just about the only person delivering what a lot of people are asking for, but they're very premium and I don't love everything about the Xperia line (own a Z3C). The Moto G 2015 would be one of my current favorites except my G2 is close enough to it to hold on.

I'm really surprised there isn't more love for this phone.
I bought this phone after seeing it in Bestbuy and it looked much prettier in person.
Actually got it for my wife since I can always return it if she doesn't like it. She said from the beginning she didn't like the look of it.
I bought the white/bamboo version and she shrugged it off right from the beginning. One day she started playing with it and after a few hours she said she hated me for making her liking the phone. She decided she wanted one but will customize it online.
Since I had a few days to return it at BB, I played with it for a week and I loved the phone.
Yeah 5"7 is a tad big at first but you get used to the size after a while. I loved everything about the phone. I especially love, love the loud front speakers.
At work, people commented on how great and unique the phone looked.
I haven't loved a phone since the LG G2 two years ago. The 808 SD scared me at first but the phone flies. The battery also scared me but its decent.
Its hard to complain when a phone has just about everything I want for $400.
I will wait to see if Motorola will have a sale for BF to buy one(will buy one regardless) until then, boy I miss that phone.

The phone is nice, but it just didn't click with me, not entirely sure why. I made one from Moto Maker, and returned it -- got a Xperia Z5 instead, and couldn't be happier.
