i'll have the sku for you later today, i'm in school right now. hell i'd even scan a pic of my reciept, but why would i want to help some lowlifes who obviously think i'm lying. anyone remeber the palm keyboard i told you about at OD a few weeks ago for 19.99. It was a misprint then but told you they HAD to honor it. anyway take it for what its worth, and obviously i dont plan on telling anyone if anything ever happens at OD again

I didn't say that couldn't look it up by UPC. I said I was told they couldn't look it up with THAT UPC. It wasn't showing up in their database.

Don't let a few people keep others from trying the deal. But just like other deals..not everyone is going to have good luck with getting it or even getting correct information from the stores.

My person was willing to try to look it up for the other local stores but it wouldn't pull up with that UPC..so she said

alchemist,

I feel your pain! It's amazing how some folks look a gift horse in the mouth!

Thanks for posting the deal!

Well, I was just about the post that it's not the T250's (black and blue models that Amazon was recently clearing out) -- as is mentioned above, they are $69.99. I guess I need to return them now.

I didn't see that model on their display. I guess there's little hope that I'll get the deal. Thanks for the attempted heads-up, alchemist.

alchemist: You've been asked several times WHICH STORE you bought these in, so I'll ask again, and maybe you'll tell us: Which store did you buy the radios in?

Also, I just called the 800#, and they can't find any Motorola model 280SLK.
Maybe there are some hyphens screwing it up or something.

Also, OD in Washington DC says they've never carried that model, and they couldn't find it in the catalog to order it.

I checked at my local Office Depot, and the model they had on sale for 24.88 was the FR50. (Removed bad rebate info) So that's not too bad a deal, as I believe BestBuy sells these for $39. Not nearly as good as a TA280SLK (normally around $80 or so) for that price.

Updated: My Bad! The rebate is only good on the FR60, not the FR50.

They do have the 280's in the store near me, but they say they are $89. Will they ring up different than they are marked or is this clearance not company wide and only for a couple of OD stores?

what i gave earlier is the stuff on my receipt

i'll scan the receipt (with a line through my cc# and employee ID, and Store #)

alchemist,

Forget that. People can take or leave the information but giving out your information like that is probably not wise or necessary.

Telling which store you work on a public forum where there might be weird or crazy people just isn't a good idea.

I'm not sure why telling the one OD store where this deal appears to be work is that crazy of an idea. Someone here may live by there, and may be able to take advantage of it. None of the rest of us have been able to find the deal anywhere else.

And how is knowing the guy's store going to help people track him down? And who would want to track him down?

OD certainly isn't going to mind that he's driving business their way.

it is national. It then is up to you guys to find out wich stores have any left. Those talkabouts were kept in lockup. And the signs are printed off of a national OD database. Individual stores can clearance items, but it is handwritten, check the price of the sku and you should see it nationally, now which stores have them left is up to you

Giving out identifying information over the net in a permanent message is not a good idea.

MontyBurns..why don't you give me the name and address of the office where you work. Someone could probably track down who you are by going through your messages for identifying clues...and even if they couldn't do that all they need to do is form the target group.

Look what happened to this Alex guy who ripped people off. Sure people had a reason to track him down but what if some crazy ass doesn't like something you say and comes looking for you.

You can trust me when I say that it is not that hard to track someone down. I know of an FBI agent who can easily do it by asking seemingly innocent questions.

You must tell your kids not to give any clues to their identity on the net. It can start with something as simple as ...I was playing softball with my team this afternoon. It wouldn't take a child molester long to extract information to find out who the party is without the person ever telling her actual name.

They did at one time have the T280SLK's, but they were replaced by the T289 model. My local OD had the Motorola ad for the T280SLK but had none in stock. The T289 was placed right over top of the original ad, with most of the ad still showing.

The FR50 was out of stock, too.
