That is because 2 pair don't add up to $50. (That's what the $0.99 dart tips above are for.)

Been doing some research..

Dick's link above lists the 5100 mdl as having the 38 Subchannels. They do not have the subchannels according to Motorola. These dudes are limited to the basic 14. You'll have to buy the 5200 series to get the subs.

How do these compare to the Cobra Microtalk FRS 225? I was going to pick up the Motorollas but my wife saw me ordering and said she got the Cobras for Christmas, but spent 60. She's mad I found out my present, but madder that she paid twice as much as these.

I stopped by my local dick's to pick up two pair and it turns out that they are $24.98 each, not a pair, at the store. The guy said that the website is owned by someone different then the store, so that price may be right for the website, but not in store. So see if you get one radio or the pair. So I was just going to price match it. Bestbuy and two staples were out of them. They were $40 at staples and $37 at BB. I eventually got a PM at Circuit City which had them for $37. They PMed an online price which I didn't think they did. Must be because there is a Dick's nearby.

I should've just ordered off the website, but I wanted to make sure I had them for x-mas. To many crowds at the stores right now.

I think the Panasonics are better, as these Motorolas lack privacy codes. But I still think its a pretty good deal.

Well, they appear to have taken this off the site. I got an order in, but now a search on the item # (822401) on their website yields no results. FWIW my order summary states "QTY 2 Talkabout T5100 2 Pack FRS" so they had better send me two pairs! Of course I have this printed out as proof. I'll be rather irritated if they only send me two...
