Mountain Dew

It seems that they are launching Mountain Dew in Finland. And today I had my first taste of it. It was pretty good, tasted like some of the lime-sodas we have here. It was a bit decarbonated though. Is that normal? I think lesser carbonation fits it rather well, but it did leave me wondering that does it normally have lesser carbonation or did I just get a bottle with less carbonation?

No, sounds the same as here, (Florida USA) makes it go down easier...

Wow. Did Finland have some sort of law prohibiting outside companies from marketing products there or something? I can't beleive Mt. Dew hasn't ever been marketed there.

I'm a big fan of the Code Red. Seems to have EVEN LESS carbonation than normal Dew. Better flavor too

Yes Mountain Dew has less carbonation than Pepsi;but more sugar!!{or corn syrup/fructose}
if you dont think so,weigh a case,or better a pallet of each!!
here in the USA we have Code Red Mountain Dew also,has a little diff taste;
and red color,rather than green..

Mountain Dew easily gets decarbonated; but if you buy a brand new one, it will be good. It's also a little less carbonated than other drinks like Coke and Pepsi, but it's still fairly carbonated.

They tried launching it here in Britain a while back, but it didn't have much caffeine in and flopped miserably.

I never got the chance to try any, so I'm going to have to sample some when I come over to the States.

Well some sodas are just not sold here and some not over there. We have sodas here that are not sold in USA (Pepsi MAX for example). I don't know about the caffeine in the finnish Mountain Dew (I already got rid of the bottle).

I think the version they launched over here is different to the one you get, one of my friends tried both and he said the British version tasted nasty in comparison.

When i was in England (and even Ireland) i looked and looked for Mt Dew. No where to be found. I asked some stocker in a grocery store, and the guy looked at me like i asked him where the chocolate covered puppies were.

When I lived in NewZealand (1992-1994) they had just gotten Mountain Dew when I was about to leave in '94.... I thought it was pretty funny... the NewZealand commercials for it. LOL
