Win 7 64
Asus ROG laptop
Mice (USB connect): Microsoft sidewinder x4, Logitech G400. Plus Synaptics touch pad. Playing games, writing docs, etc.
Sometimes the mice work, sometimes they freeze and are not recognized by laptop.Switching USB ports does not help. I found that switching back and forth works...after awhile. In other words, play with Logitech, mouse freeze. Switch to sidewinder, all ok...for awhile, freeze and so forth. After about 10 switches, one or the other mouse will work for the rest of the session (6 hrs or so).
I also noticed sometimes the mouse recognized in the control panel is the opposite mouse I am actually using. So I play with the sidewinder, even though the control panel says logitech and vice versa.
Also, HID compliant mouse is featured in Device manager, along with touch pad.
Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.
