im loving the desk. where did you get it? I had a corner desk for a while but axed it and gave it to my girlfriend. I like how I can put my monitor in front of me and a tv towards the side and not have to break my neck to look at it...i could also throw my 360 on it. I really miss my dual monitor setup too =[
Bought it a couple of years ago from Staples. Nice, solid ah heck (used to have two Sony 24" CRTs ).
I've only had to replace the keyboard tray due to getting a G15 v1 (needed something wider).

Also, funny you should mention the X360. I have a chest of drawers underneath the left side of the table and
have a launch-day X360 tucked underneath there. Added two extra 50mm fans into the X360 and mounted a
60mm fan beneath the table to push out the hot air. Runs for hours without overheating.

I have a func 1030 at home which is awesome. I've had it for probably 10 years now. At work I just use my work surface.

I got a Mionix Propus recently, I like the surface but it's a dust magnet. Dust gets all in the grooves, it's easy to clean though. So I guess it stays cleaner/smoother longer with a quick wipe.

Been using a Steelseries SX for the past 3 years and its been great. It's an aluminium pad and it works very well with my old G9. I'm not sure where aluminium pads fall on the control vs accuracy scale people tend to use for mouse pads but mine has held up very well for the past 3 years with heavy daily use. The area where its most used did shed its paint but its still as smooth as ever. One thing to keep in mind with aluminium pads is you have to keep them clean, dust and small particles of dirt or what have you are both annoying and if its anything coarse it can get between the teflon feet of the mouse and the pad and scratch both so that's something to keep in mind.

I bought one of these a while ago: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817114171

It's a subtle difference, but it makes gaming and such a lot smoother and computing just overall more comfortable. I liken it to wrist-wrest on a keyboard, you don't really notice it until it's gone. I would never pay $30 for one of those super-pads that are out there, but then again I'm not that hardcore a gamer. (I still get plenty of head-shots with my $8 Kensington optical non-laser mouse). For $10, it's well worth it IMO.

Been using my Duke Nukem 3D mousepad for the past 16 years

Don't bother with the Duke Nukem 4ever one, it's very linear and one dimensional. Nothing like the 2 dimensional Duke Nukem 3D mouspads

razer exactmat ... rough side

The surfaces wore down to nothing on mine, although the rough side was more resilient. The wrist rest is too big as well. The Vespula has a more comfortable wrist rest, but only time will tell how the surfaces will hold up.
