mousing surfaces

ok first things first, i HATE mouse pads, they r too small for me, i like to be FREEEEEE to move my mous over as large an area as possible, so i was thinking of just turning maybe an 18'' x 18'' portion of my desk into one big mousing surface.... right now its just regular wood, but i was hoping to get suggestions on slick surfaces that i could easily just have cut into the rite size and placed on my table.... i was thinking glass... or i dunno... just some sort of easily accessible slippery surface, anyone got any ideas?! thanks!

Do you have an optical mouse? Glass = nono.

vaguely ontopic; have a look at radpads + everglide giganta, theyre quite large mousepads.

maybe have a look at plastic texturised chopping boards?

Lol...I think I have the perfect Idea! Get one of those flat baking pans (You know what I'm talking about. They are like 2'x1 1/2' or close to that. Get some sandpaper and sand down the surface a little bit so the optical mouse has the needed surface. Then spray it down with that non-stick spray and you have the teflon built right in!

...Or just get a RatPadz GS. Honestly, stear clear of EverGlide. I have both and the Ratbadz is noticably better.

i have both and everglide is the same to me all boards wear out in about a year so don't compare that way.


just buy an everglide optical giganta or ratz gs. i tried going with desk only for a while, i got tired of it.

My office desk is black and white textured, plus it's really slick. Try getting some marble or something hehe and put some teflon tape on the bottom of your mouse.

fUnc is awfully tiny if you're looking for a large surface. that said, i own and use a fUnc because it's one of the smoothest pads you can use.

if size is a must, i'd go with the DKT (destrukt) from everglide. it's supposed to be a great combination of size and slickness.

increase sensitivity.. use teftlon tape...
teftlon tape is better than everglide for me.. when i got my teftlon tape.. i gave my everglide to my sis..

teflon tape alone isn't perfect. i use both

if your everglide was sticking or something, that means it polished down. all gaming pads do that after a while.
