MovieDV Suite Firewire DVD Package $12.99

I was browsing the internet and came upon this Firewire Card. It comes in the retail package with a video editing software, firewire cable and a 3 port firewire card. The software is suppose to be easy to use and user friendly. Had anyone tried this Firewire Card or ever dealt with this online merchant?

MovieDV is one of the worst video editing software packages around. It renders (converts) to MPG VERY slowly and doesn't have a very good user interface. BUT, that being said, a 1394 card and cable for under 20 bucks is pretty good. Just get ULead or Pinnacle for the editting part.

Newegg has a 3port firewire card, cable, Ulead software for $13+$5 shipping. If you prefer that bundle.

Thanks. I have a baby coming and I'm guessing I'll want a digital video camera soon. This would be a nice "lead" in to that purchase.

Do you think this has the full version of Ulead? I've heard good things about the software, so I'm assuming it is pretty sufficient.

I bought the newegg deal last week for $18.00. It comes with a cable and Ulead VideoStudio 5 full version. Ulead is now on version 7 with this product. I'm not too thrilled about the UI and I really haven't spent much time with it, but I think it'll suit my purposes just fine.
