Do you have hyperthymesia or something?
I've seen V for Vendetta about 20 times. I watch it whenever I add something new to my home theater.
I had to look that up. No, I am a programmer (database) and when I visit a record for a movie in my table for movies that's flagged as accessible by me (either in my collection or attainable from my local library), it asks me if I just watched it. If so, I pick the date and it keeps a list. I just pasted that list in my post here. Without that table and the code I wrote in support of it I would in many cases have only a vague idea of when I watched a movie, how many times and in a lot of cases if I have seen it at all. It also lets me include a lot of info of interest to me, which varies a ton from movie to movie. For instance, I can paste a review by a critic, Rotten Tomato ratings, anything I think might interest me later, including my own thoughts about it. I also have a special table pertaining to movies that people regard as eminently rewatchable, i.e. movies they could and do watch over and over and over. The table's name is overnovr.dbf! The URL for this very thread is in one of the records of that table.

I bought the
Band of Brothers Blu Ray box set and have only watched about 3 episodes. I should start getting into it, the reviews I've read about it by viewers were just off the charts!
I at one point decided I should at least see them (Star Wars) once. I put on the one with the ice planet 5 days in a row every evening. I'd fall asleep within the first 10-15 mins of it each time, it was just too boring. In the end I just put it on while cooking and put it on fast forward to get past that part. Unfortunately the rest wasn't much more entertaining. I can understand that some 6-12 year old boys might find it interesting though, as long as they have no interest in a decent story, good and realistic action, or any form of character development.
I have always had the same problems with Star Wars. I realized that those movies were a huge cultural phenomenon and I figured I should investigate why, try to get in on the fun, but none of them have worked for me!
There are many movies in my collection that I didn't like. I try to give them a 2nd chance. Many times I like them much more on a rewatch. Then again, it often happens that I still dislike it. But sometimes I don't like a movie based on thoughts I have, attitudes, and a rewatch in which I attempt to appreciate a movie on its own terms will allow me to enjoy it a lot more. However, I've rewatched several of the Star Wars movies and still can't get enthusiastic about them at all.
Godfather I, II -- Yeah, they always work. In fact, I like III, not as good, but good!
Goodfellas -- Seen twice
A Bronx Tale
The Departed -- I really enjoyed this all 3 times
The Outlaw Josey Wales -- Didn't like a whole lot, but want to try again
Jeremiah Johnson
Tombstone
Young Guns
Troy
Cliffhanger
Ronin
Excalibur
Die Hard -- Seen this a few times, rewatchable!
Hamlet (w/ Mel Gibson) -- Gotta try this
The Last Picture Show
Chinatown -- Yes, a great movie
The Two Jakes
Casablanca -- One of my favorites, have seen about 8 times!
My comments in bold. Gotta try some of those others, good list!
