Contact....Jodie Foster.
Second that. It went from reality to some 2001 goofy LSD induced trippy thing.
For that matter, 2001 had a pretty poor ending too.
Yeah... but I wouldn't dream of changing a single frame.

Any movie with Steven Seagal that he doesn't die at the end is truly disappointing.

while I didn't hate it, I should say that the ending of The Departed royally pissed me off--which I guess makes it really good. I haven't had as strong an emotional reaction to a scene and story as I had with that--so I guess it succeeded really well.
...it almost makes the filler closing scene with Sgt Dignam almost unnecessary, but I suppose it was added to alleviate the anger over what happens earlier, and provide some sense of justice. I wonder what the feeling would be like had Dignam never showed up....

I still remember seeing this at the theatre, and my wife saying as credits rolled, "That was it!" I hate movies like this, that just leave you hanging.

Any movie with Steven Seagal where he doesn't die at the BEGINNING is disappointing. Seeing him sucked out of the stealth fighter was the best part of Executive Decision.

My #1 worst ending: The latest Planet of the Apes.
I almost demanded my moneyback from the theater.
