Movies you loved, but hated the ending...

The movie was perfect except for the sequence where dude busts a nut thinking about terrorism. That shit was so overwrought and pointless. It really ruined a lot of cool shit that happened in the movie.

Not that I called The Break-Up a great movie or anything... I watched it once and that was enough for me. But I watched it with the wife and we didn't care much for the ending. Then we saw there was an alternate ending, so we watched it expecting the opposite of the first ending. It was the same damn ending with minor changes! I guess they didn't want to do the typical Hollywood ending, which is fine.

Oh, movies? Well, it was like a TV-movie.

You know, I hated that episode at the time. But in retrospect, I really don't think they could have done anything that would have made fans happy. At very least they got the final scene right.

You should read what the sequel is about too... it just sounds completely crazy.

I also didn't mind the I Am Legend ending. Sure they could've showed more about curing the infected, but was it really necessary? Heck, the previous movies (Omega Man, etc) ended with the main character being killed (thanks to my mom for telling me this before I saw I Am Legend ).

Titanic - the ship always sinks. Here's the ending I want to see. These two guys with a ship full of ping pong balls show up and figure out a way to pump the Titanic's under decks full of ping pong balls. Did they even have ping pong balls back then? I don't know, who cares. Would be a cool ending though.

while I didn't hate it, I should say that the ending of The Departed royally pissed me off--which I guess makes it really good. I haven't had as strong an emotional reaction to a scene and story as I had with that--so I guess it succeeded really well.

...it almost makes the filler closing scene with Sgt Dignam almost unnecessary, but I suppose it was added to alleviate the anger over what happens earlier, and provide some sense of justice. I wonder what the feeling would be like had Dignam never showed up....

In the original Hong Kong movie there is no filler and the bad cop attends the good cop's funeral and tahts how it ends. so in the end its up to you to decide whether the bad cop turns good.

watch the original, its much better.

I thought the "I Am Legend" ending was pretty lame but otherwise liked the movie until someone explained what the book was about and what the title of it meant. And then I got depressed about how the entire movie played out.

I know there are other movies I've hated the endings on, but it is really hard to remember which ones exactly. Usually if a good movie has a bad ending, I just tend to forget the ending.

Also ... I wasn't too thrilled with "I am Legend". Not only was the endeing poorly done but the movie depended too much on sub-par special effects. This was one of the main complaints from the professional critics.
