Equilibrium.
Mad Max. ive never made it through the entire movie.

The movie is insufferable. I had to watch it in stages and it never started making sense. Motivations and actions are never clear, logical steps are never connected, nothing makes any sense. It's just BAD.

Every musical.

Agreed, I can't stand singing in my movies.

There's a certain amount of suspension of disbelief required for any movie, but it's a line, and singing in that Broadway style completely shatters that line for me.

Blasphemy!

Did you see the final cut or the original theatrical version of the film?

Yes its slow, but its themes are pretty griping, how can you not like the ending scene in the rain, its a pretty thought provoking film.

I don't know, but it was on Netflix at some point so I figured I'd give it a go. It sucked

I read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep and liked it enough. The only good thing the movie did was sully the title of the far superior book. I know it's a cliché to say the book was better, but with how popular Blade Runner was I thought I'd like it. Nope... I think people were impressed by the visuals back when it was released, but since that's no longer impressive I just judged it as a movie. Unfortunately it's a terrible movie.

It sullied my trust I had in people who recommended it, and that's why I hate it. My faith in humanity was a step lower after sitting through it.

I'm still pretty impressed by it. The practical effects are WAY better than the CGI Sci-Fi of today. That futuristic vehicle canopy with the realistic wear (scuffs and scratches on the glass) actually had water raining down on it while filming. The set, the props, the actors, etc all had to get wet, work, and maintain the illusion. It impresses me a hell of a lot more than some green-screen actors with a rain effect in some videogame environment. I liked the movie particularly because the plot was a little ambiguous but the world was rich and fleshed out. Nothing is truly resolved but that isn't what it's about. Ultimately, it stimulates the imagination. I imagine that the technical achievement is lost on people unable to be impressed by it today (even though it should be more impressive than ever)... like teardrops... in the rain (that line was improvised, BTW).

Its kind of like Crysis, an amazing game to play when you are so dazzled by the graphics but a very average shooter at times.

I forgot about Avatar. It was heavy handed schlock. It was almost embarassing to watch. Stunning visuals though.

Requiem for a Dream is utter horseshit.

Oh, and anything by tarantino, with the exception of pulp fiction. Especially Reservoir Dogs. I wanted to like it so bad, and I hated it.

One more: No Country for Old Men. What a boring shit pile of a snoozefest.
