Did you just mention The Grey?! My friend kept mentioning it so then I borrowed to watch. I doubt i even got to the twentieth minute. It's not worth the rating and reviews people give it. I wonder what they look at when they give reviews.

Yeah. You might be the first person I've heard of familiar with the movie that didn't love it.

The writing and character dialogue was so bad, it seemed like it was written by millennials right out of film school. Same vibe from Snowpiercer (with a Korean twist).

Batman movies....

I loved Begins.

The Dark Knight had major story structure issues, but was interesting for the performance of the main villain (Heath's Joker). I don't understand why 99.9% of Batman fans think it's the best one. It's not. It's flawed and vastly inferior to the first. Dent's transformation to Two-Face should have been saved for another film. The story should have been simplified and at least 30 minutes shorter.

Dark Knight Rises was terribad.

Snowpiercer was bad and I was bored with The Dark Knight Rises so that makes it bad too imo. The rest were ok, good or very good. So that puts me in the lots of people category.

Not sure how to explain an argument against you on some of these. Like Prometheus for example. I can try be saying I liked the atmosphere of the scenes & photography. And the plot was worthy despite the blonde being way off on the distance traveled.

And didn't see Pain and Gain.

Fight Club - it sucked balls and I blame it for the rise of the "Alpha" Male wannabes

Children of Men - WTF? Less of this and more x (time period) After. Anything but this pretentious BS.

I have either not heard of, or completely disagree with every movie people have listed thus far.

The force awakens, batman movies, Fight Club, Forrest Gump, etc... These are iconic movies! Of course this is all subjective, and I am sure everyone feels the same way.

It's rare I see a movie with a decent score that I would consider bad.... I can't think of one off hand.

If you want to see a bad bad movie, I suggest watching Devil's Due! Watch that, and then watch fight club, and tell me it's a bad movie.

Fight Club was eh, reading Chuck Palahniuk books is like reading the fantasies of a scrawny, pimply faced high schooler.

If I hate them I just don't watch them.

Transformers movies ?

Probably a lot of the bad CGI speculative fiction, if it is just done for effects with not much plot.

Anything that is Twilight ?

Totally agree on Snowpiercer. Ugh, I thought it was horrible. However, I love The Grey and Grandma's Boy.

I think that both Fight Club and Pulp Fiction are overrated. They're OK, but not the cinematic masterpieces people make them out to be.

I didn't hate District 9, but don't understand the love for it. I consider the time I spent watching that wasted.

I feel like the Nolan Batman trillogy movies are long for the sake of being long, I fell asleep during dark knight.

Batman 89 would be my personal favorite, and I felt Nickloson was the best joker.

It's a Wonderful Life is maybe the worst movie ever made.

This. Awful movie.

Some others for me are:

My Dinner With Andre (this is probably just behind It's A Wonderful Life on my most hated list)
Chungking Express
The Graduate
Terminator 2: Judgement Day
A lot of Pixar stuff, though I just stopped watching them a few years back.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Memento? You're nuts, those are great movies!
Yep, he's nuts. And he's a nut with bad taste.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Memento are both in my personal top 10.

Remember the Titans.

Same Denzel character as every other movie.

Is it a movie about sports with racial undertones?

Is it a movie about race with a sports undertone?

I can't tell and I don't think anyone else can either. Commit already.

Every scene just pissed me off more and more.

Tootsie
The Graduate
Almost every movie made in the 90s. I know, let's make yet another movie about f'ed up families and dysfunctional relationships. Who wants to watch that crap?
The Batman movie with the Penguin.

I agree with Forrest Gump... a bunch of baby boomers getting nostalgic was the main reason for its success when its message is don't rock the boat and toe the freaking line.

Thus it is inferior in every way to Cool Hand Luke.

Let's get this hatefest started...

I wish I could strike these movies from existence.

Why can't people see how bad these 4 movies really are? Almost everyone loves them.
  • District 9
  • Snowpiercer
  • The Grey
  • Grandma's Boy

Some people actually like this Michael Bay junk.
  • Transformers 1, 2, 3, 4 (yes, the first one too)
  • The Rock
  • Pain & Gain

A few that really, REALLY disappointed me:
  • Swordfish
  • The Dark Knight Rises
  • Prometheus

Haven't seen the Fast/Furious and Resident Evil movies, but I'm pretty sure I would hate them.

Now argue with me because I'm WRONG!
District 9? I would consider that one of the more underrated movies IMO. Nobody I know really liked it, but I did... Exactly the opposite of your title.

Came in here to say Donnie Darko, and see it already mentioned.

My biggest one is probably Blade Runner. I have no idea where all the praise comes from. I saw it for the first time a few years ago and I didn't like a single thing about it.
