Mp3 discmen....any good?

birthday's coming up, and I would like an Mp3 discmen because they're getting kinda inexpensive now. Has anybody heard anything about the current generation? Any plusses or minuses? Any particular brands? Thanks

do a search for "rio volt" in the forums. It's the best one out there, bar none. I have one and it's great--cheap too.

Wow, that looks nice! Does it support file structuring? How many characters of text from the ID3 tag does it display?

yes it supports directories, and navigation is easy. Not sure on the length of id3 supported... plenty enough to know what song you're listening to.

Only thing that kind of sucks is the length of time it takes between songs and esp. when first starting up. Not that bad (10 seconds starting up, 3-5 seconds between songs).

Otherwise it's cool.

3-5 seconds inbetween songs?!?!? i know it may seem like a little thing, but that would be extremely annoying to me.. of course, thats just me.
