Okay, I have roughly 150gb of mp3's and as of right now they are categorized by Folder in Artist>Album format. I use winamp, but find the media library to be a pain. Actually I have tried Winamp, iTunes, and WMP and I just not impressed.
Here are a list of the features I am looking for in no particular order
1. Ability to be minimized to a small form player.
2. Id3 tag editing, and ability to pull form the freeDB database to update the tags
3. Ability to pull album art for the song I am listening to from Amazon.com or similar.
4. Ability to sort music by year, genre, etc, and generate playlists with that data
5. Ability to "rate" songs and have the rated songs in a playlist like 5star music for example
6. Ability to add plugins would be nice, but not needed.
7. Ability to play various video formats.
8. Full eq.
I do not expect to find a piece of software that does all of these things, but is there one that does most of them? What do you use and why?
Thanks.
