If your looking for something a bit better (more space) for a few more bucks the Rio Karma is a great deal right now.
20 gig player under $200 bucks and I actually like using it better than the ipod.
but it sounds like your already set on the creative.

Another vote for the Karma, in the mid 100s price range & ~20gb capacity range. It's generally regarded as the best sounding player and it's the only one I know of which supports gapless playback

I sold my Zen Xtra for an Ipod. The Ipod is worth the extra money. It's smaller, easier to use (the ipod itself and the itunes sortware), and sounds just as good if you get good headphones cause the ones it comes with suck ass. The Zen is freaking huge, good luck fitting it in your pocket. Honestly, the Ipod is best hard drive mp3 player on the market, no matter what anyone else says. Apple has perfected it.

I bought one, but sold it a month later.
I picked up the iRiver H120 instead. I'm glad I did. I liked the build quality, size, features, and sound better than the zen extra. Then again the H120 is/was much more expensive
