Creative Zen M or W.

I have the M and it's awesome. I use it pretty much everyday on the train ride to catch up on tv from last night.

on the creative zen, is it basically just drag and drop with regards to divx files?

you didn't have to load any special software etc?

yeah, you have to install their own file browser, but it drap and drop the files. Oh, it doesn't take the 700 Mb high rez xvid files. but the 350MB files are quick drag and drop from watching.

I'm a fan of all-in-ones (do you really want to carry a wallet, keys, AND 2 electronic devices?)... Using the Verizon XV6800 PPC with coreplayer as mentioned above to play everything I have... it even plays .flv & .rm files if you want it to. Uses mini-SD cards for storage ftw.

Is it really worth watching on such a tiny screen? I mean is it enjoyable? I'm just wondering since I take the train too and it might be worthwhile to invest in something like this if its worth it.

HTC makes good smartphones. I bought my brother a Tilt (TyTN II, Kaiser) which is the brother of the XV6800/TyTN.

On a long plane ride, yes it's enjoyable if you have no options for entertainment. On a train ride everyday, it gets old fast. Depends on the length of your ride everyday. Mayhaps stay with an mp3 player.

For the most part it is. I can watch just about all shows on the train. My ride is 43 minutes, just the length of a hour long show minus commercials, each way. On occasion, for show like Fringe, I've had to go back to a particular scene on my desktop to get the detail. But overall, most shows don't require that level of detail, so its worth it to me.

I see. My train ride is about 44min so I guess there is enough time for viewing a show and I see people with Iphone's all the time watching something. The only problem I have is that it just looks awkward holding the player in your hand with your head tilted down watching it. Subconsciously, it reminds me of beggars asking for money that I saw in my trips abroad: the way they stretch out their hands.

Part of the reason I don't do it as much is because of eye strain and awkwardness of holding the thing for 42mins through an episode.

In my case, if i put my bag on my lap, then sloch just a bit, my head head rests on the back of the seat and the screen is eye level when it sits on my bag. So I'm actually not looking down, just straight ahead. So, in my situation, there is no fatigue from holding your neck down or holding the Zen in my hand. that makes a difference i guess.
