Popular in China cus they can't afford the real deal so they have to settle for second (or third) best. The thing is, they flat out show you ipod nano in first couple of pics, then the last two, like someone pointed out, you see the real thing and it looks cheap as hell. I'm happy with my IPOD video so far. 20 hour battery life, but since I end up clicking it all the time and skipping songs ect, it cuts it down to maybe 15 hours. While I agree this is very cheaply made, I have to disagree with what you said. It is completely wrong. Basically, they get about 15x the number of products we get. We get a small portion of all the offerings. It's just like all the video games that never make it to the US. Say what you want, but they basically get things cheaper and have more choice. There're a lot of retail electronics, portables, cell phones, etc... over there which cost much less there than here. It's us who get the short end.

Buy.com recently had the Sansa e260 (4GB) for $109 AR ($30) and google checkout discount. I would not spend $100 on a 2GB player when you can get the same thing in 4GB version for marginally more. I recently got the 4GB and love it. I love that it plays video and that you can buy $20 replacement battery kits when the battery dies on you 2 years down. Had to have my mini replaced because the battery was dead (good thing it was under warranty). Ridiculous. Sansa is awesome. The wheel being separate from the buttons is very nice. It means it's not going to get stuck like the scroll wheel like on ipod and have to be pressed outrageously hard to make it work again. I used to swear by the ipod, but the Sansa has so many better features and syncs perfect with WMP10. One note, you have to use their video converter usually to transfer mpeg videos... I think it uses .mov format, but I haven't had it long enough to check.

Closest thing Ive seen to an "iPod Killer". Really has some impressive specs.. available in 2 and 4 GB.... rumor is an 8GB verison will be out by christmas sporting bluetooth!

Word of the street is the ipod copies are junk

A friend bought two of these in the LA Wholesale district. They go for $45. Battery life sucks. They have exposed screws. The OS and mouse action are worlds appart from the iPod. Closer to what you'd expect from a CHEAP flash drive.
