I thought Johnny English was very funny. This is one of those actors who I start laughing just by him walking into a scene (Martin Short is another.) The guy is flat-out funny, but not everyone is going to get it.

Picked this one up for $29.99 at my local Costco, this is a good deal! Be aware that apparently some of the scenes from the original show were not included with this release for some reason. Read the entire thread for more details here.

The 'edited American version', as they say in the DVDTalk forums, is due to the media's need to splash the viewer with commercials throughout a show. In Europe, specifically Germany, shows run 40 minutes, with a 10-minute advertising splash.

Regardless of how 'chopped' the shows are, it's still a good set for $30 (I bought mine at Sam's Club)....as a poster on DVDTalk said, "..I'll trade 22 minutes of edits for 6+ hours of laughs"

oh, and Johnny English won't be a blockbuster hit, but it's worth a rental at least.
