Bus Stop and Library are included, but they're listed as 'never-before-seen-on-tv sketches' in the extras, and not counted in the 14. So it's really 16 + the documentary.

Not Hot!
Tons of scenes in these episodes are cut out. For example, the one where mr bean buys the chair and ties it to his car. The scene with him browsing in the store is completely deleted.

Really? When it was on PBS, I don't recall there being a scene in the store during the chair skit. I clearly remember the being as him walking to his car with the mop and paint buckets.

yesh, i saw that clip on pbs. he couldnt fit the chair into his car so he stuck it on top. then got the bright idea of driving the car FROM the chair thats on top of his car by using rope and a broom stick to stair and accelerate..

Great idea but no way am I buying hacked up versions of the shows. Why in the world couldn't they have archived the full length versions-scenes not shown in the US would have been a major selling point.

Probably they are following the Star Wars marketing model and will come out with an enhanced Whole Bean set in a year or two.

I don't think it's hacked up.

The episode with the chair on the roof is tied in with the christmas/room painting episode. It's the day after christmas sale, he's waiting in line to get the chair in the window. He runs inside, but an old woman sits down in it before he can get it. So, he tinkers with the electric panel on it, and it ends up closing up on the old woman like a clamshell. He then buys it himself, because the woman doesn't want it any more. Then, he puts it on top of his car and drives home with it.
