Do you have the disc/album/tape? On there who does it attribute authorship of this music to?

I ask because I don't have it.

It matters because it affects whom the royalties are paid to.

I'm wondering if this is Englishman Paige raking off $$$ from the creativity of some American Negro author, yet again.

Yes, it's attributed to Dixon. Most song stealing involved tunes where they changed the name, but stole the bulk of the song, words and melody.

That song was a standard before Willie Dixon got a hold of it. See, before todays "I'll SUE YOU!" society, blues artists used to use eachother's songs everywhere. No credit needed. Someone would play something in a club, and then someone else would borrow it and do something else with it. British bands were no different. Jeff Beck recorded this song as well, and gave no credit to Dixon. Dixon didn't give credit to the person he got it from either.

So, please stop saying "SO AND SO STOLE MUSIC!!!" It was just the culture at the time, and the world was a better place for it.
