Mr. Robot or Orphan Black, which to start next?

I have been reading some major hype about Mr Robot, supposed just absolutely amazing blah blah blah. I also have a couple friends who recently watched Orphan Black and they have been going on non stop about how great it is. So AT, first of all are both of these worth the hype and watching? Second, which one to start first?


edit: I do not know what either is about, I have just seen a lot of buzz about MR Robot and just two of my friends telling me to watch OB but left out why

I'm two episodes into Mr Robot and its pretty damn cool, as someone who has been on this forum for 15 years its a pretty good chance you'll like it.

Completely different style shows. If it matters, Orphan Black is on season 3 while Mr. Robot is just finishing up the first.

Orphan Black is pretty cool, it's got a weird shift of genre (action/suspense, horror, and comedy bordering on farce) depending on whose storyline it is... I tend to like it, I think Tatiana Maslany is really good.

I've watched all of both. Mr. Robot you'll get through quicker due to less episodes. I probably enjoyed it more overall.
Orphan Black kind of went downhill a bit with each season - at least in my opinion. Season 1 at least was great though!

Mr. Robot had me on the edge of my seat many times. Very rare for a TV show.

Love both shows, Mr. Robot is starting to get a little weird and hard to believe, they still have the finale and next season to go over things but... you'll see what I mean if you watch it. Orphan Black is just awesome, love the science aspect, love the actress, still can't understand half of what the brits say in the show but I watch with subtitles so that's not a deal-breaker. I say watch Orphan Black first.

Yeah... Mr. Robot started out cool and got weird quickly. I'm not sure if I really buy the story anymore, and I'm at episode 6.

Ugghhh USA, major strike. Their shows I have seen are so lame/cheesy(Burn Notice/Psych etc). I also don't care for the plot per episode with minimum overarching story line

Shows that have a self contained plot each episode are easier to sell in syndication after the first showing. That's when the producers start making a big profit.

I've actually still not finished off Orphan Black, but I would recommend Mr Robot over it.

I'll probably catch up on those, but IMHO like Mr Robot better, want to see that finale.

I'm not a USA fan myself really.

They have a hit here, it's pretty linear, but does vary a bit.
