That video is terrible. What I got from the ~8 minutes I watched, is MrBeast® does low budget "reality" tv, and it's fake. Is that a surprise? Which "reality" tv is real?? How high can any stakes be when there's a $1m production crew right there watching everything?

I always kind of wondered if it was fake or not. It seems too good to be true that people get to keep that much stuff/money and races always ending last second when stakes are high seemed to happen way too conveniently often. I didn't realize the extent of it though. This is bad. Been a while since I watched the videos, I always got a weird vibe that it was fake, and even if it was real, their over the top approach kinda got annoying.

Never thought about the lotto aspect though... I guess what he's doing basically is a lottery. That would also have tax implications since in the states lotto winnings are taxed. So those people who end up winning a Ferrari or something would actually be on the hook to pay a huge amount of money that they probably wouldn't be able to afford.

1. i have watched zero MrB videos. (i dont actually know what he does but i think he does giveaways & challenges)
2. i believe he is either N.1 or near of the current top yutubbers.
3. posting things like "proof that youtuber X is bad" on these huge channels is useless.
Only channels that have rational-thinking followers can be subject to critique. Channels that are watched by children and others who aren't even trying to think if it's fake or real, are either immune to criticism, or actually benefit from it.
I mean, Everything Wrong With / Cinema Sins has been ripped apart by more than one youtuber, and they are still raking in the cash.

I thought the friend was the edgelord, and it turns out they went way too far past the edge? Or was that misinformation?

I saw a few days ago a clickbait title about the friend and CP cartoons or some shit, and then doing something with a minor or minors... Not sure if that was DMs (like that mullet guy) or actual assault or somewhere between.

Most of the millions he make he puts back into making new content. And a lot of his content is giving cars, bags of money, and even houses to people in need. He thinks owning a lot of shit is stupid. I don't follow him that close, but he seems like a great human being. And some of his videos are fun to watch, he pulled up to a woman at a stop light in a semi old Nissan and swapped it for a Tesla he had just bought. It would be bad ass to have money to be able to shit like that lol. Of course the video made me think how a woman driving an older Nissan probably couldn't afford to have a charger installed where she lives. And if she lives in an Apartment a charger would be a no-go even if you could afford to have one installed. I'd imagine owning an EV and not being able to charge it where you live would be shitty. And now I need to go check if there's a follow up video where he helped her get a charger for it.

If I had the $$$$ he does, I would definitely do a lot of good and help people. But I would also have a Leno size garage full of cars and a full-blown arcade and a ton of other shit.

And apparently the worst thing he's done is support a friend who's a trans? That seems petty as shit for people to rage over.

Yeah I think that's pretty much it. It's kind of like they say "never meet your heroes" because they are never what they seem like on the surface. In the end he's still better than lot of other rich people too, he gives out lot of the money. But when it comes down to it, he's running a business, so things are not as rosy as they seem behind the scenes.
