They can't claim they don't understand english. They understood Alan Thicke's joke about not being able to switch husbands. And after the screw up in the backstage you can see some of them getting pissy about how russia didn't do anything. blah blha blha.

I think what threw off the previous winner was that Russia started clapping politely as if Costa Rica had won. While Costa Rica was doing the typical OMG I just won reaction.

I was surprised Alan Thicke didn't say anything to the previous winner. while the mix up was going on. I mean he's standing next to Russia and you can barely hear him say Mrs. World, Mrs. Russia at least once. I think Alan was trying to annouce that it was Russia. to the audience.

I dunno what the studio annoucer was saying though.

The stage manager part was funny.
