MS ergonomic keyboard acts crazy.

I decided to try one of these at work and couldn't log on. Nice looking, clean, I put in another KB and logged on and hot-swapped the ergo, and found out a lot of the keys give weird results. For instance, you hit the 7 and you get a 6. The spacebar doesn't give a space, stuff like that. Below is what I typed using it and that gives you an idea. Throw it in the trash? Or is there something that can be done to save it. Has a PS2 connector, but there's a tiny sticker on the back that says (I quote): USB

Well, other keyboards act OK, so it has to be something with this KB. I found another MS ergo and am using it right now. Guess the other one goes in the trash.
