If you have dual monitors, I suppose you could try. But I'd think that performance would take a hit.

I've been away from MSFS for a while but I did try dual monitors back in the day and there was a real performance hit. I did this way back using FS98 on a Win98 (dual monitor capability was one of the reasons I moved up to Win98) machine with a PII 333MHz CPU 64MB of memory and 16MB (AGP) and 8MB (PCI) graphics cards. The display was jerky and landings were tough to perform. To reduce the low frame rates, I put the radio and other controls on the second monitor rather than using the added screen real estate for additional outside views. In a way, this made the simulation seem more realistic -- having to move away from the main screen to make settings and adjustments. Still, the simulation performance wasn't really acceptable in dual monitor mode.

However, given the tremendous increases in CPU/graphics card power and the fact that there is much more RAM in today's machines, I'll bet that dual monitors is a workable configuration now! If I only had two monitors, I'd might try it again...

"rebate is not valid in conjunction with other Microsoft offers or rebates" according to the small type on the FS2004 rebate and similar wording is found on the upgrade rebate (also a MS rebate).

But, wouldn't that only be referring to the same item? Though according to that, it doesn't seem like the $10 upgrade MIR would work with the $20 MIR's, but I think people on fatwallet reported getting all three. But no one's seemed to mention if you can go ahead and buy them all at one time. I didn't really think it would matter but wanted to make sure. Anyone done this and gotten the MIR checks?

You can buy these anywhere. All the rebates are from Microsoft. But the Price may be higher anywhere else.

I can confirm that I did get both the $20 rebate and the $10 upgrade rebate when I purchased FS2004 from Amazon a few months ago. They both go to different addresses.

Why wouldn't you? My question is if you get all three, and if FS02 and FS04 are on the same receipt.

Got the product delivered yesterday. Spoke to support at microsoft and confirmed that all rebates are valid. Mailing all my rebates today
