They will never be on the same receipt, they ship from different destinations. One came by UPS and the other by USPS. Also all the rebates go to different destinations. Talked to a friendly rep at MS and confirmed that all the 3 rebates are valid and you don't need original coupons as they are not there on the boxes. It is OK to use copies of the rebate form.

He also told that if U send the original coupon U don't need to send the UPC otherwise you will have to send the box top with the copy of the form.

I wish I could remember the web site address, but there's a guy with an awesome flight sim setup. He has 12 monitors and computers on a custom built desk so they surround him and a chair with his joy stick and throttle setup mounted on it. Also a vibration pack mounted under the seat. These guys have developed their own software for doing this and it basically makes a flight sim trainer.

Check the MaximumPC website. Someone doing just this sort of thing was featured several months back . . .

I've seen several pretty impressive DIY cockpits, the best of which are here. There is also the one with about 10 full size monitors, that I think you're talking about. I have it bookmarked at home.

I would love to have something like that, but it would be hard for me to find the time to figure out how, and to build it. Read about this 777 cockpit. Sounds like a blast!

I've been away from MSFS for a while but I did try dual monitors back in the day and there was a real performance hit. I did this way back using FS98 on a Win98 (dual monitor capability was one of the reasons I moved up to Win98) machine with a PII 333MHz CPU 64MB of memory and 16MB (AGP) and 8MB (PCI) graphics cards. The display was jerky and landings were tough to perform. To reduce the low frame rates, I put the radio and other controls on the second monitor rather than using the added screen real estate for additional outside views. In a way, this made the simulation seem more realistic -- having to move away from the main screen to make settings and adjustments. Still, the simulation performance wasn't really acceptable in dual monitor mode.

However, given the tremendous increases in CPU/graphics card power and the fact that there is much more RAM in today's machines, I'll bet that dual monitors is a workable configuration now! If I only had two monitors, I'd might try it again...

FYI, flight simulators are generally EXTREMELY CPU dependent...

I called the toll free # and spoke to someone and explained the situation. He put me on hold for a couple of minutes and said I had been mailed a letter stating why I didn't qualify for the rebate. He asked for my email address and emailed me a PDF of the form he said to send AFTER I receive the letter. It's basically the same form laid out slightly differently. If someone here can host the form, I'd be happy to send it to you. Or, I can just email it to you if you email me your email address.

Not really. A lot of other vendors sell through Amazon. The FS I bought via the Amazon site actually was being sold by J&R.

All the 3 rebates mentioned will show up in the same website even though we mail them to different address. All the 3 rebates of mine ahve been approved. Received the check on one of them already. Cool Deal

I got shot down on my $20 rebate, even using the form the guy from the rebate center emailed me! I received notification via email and snail mail. I went ahead and called the number on the rejection letter. After kindly explaining the situation to the CSR, she placed me on hold. When she came back, she had a supervisor on the line and he said he was going to go ahead and process the rebate and I should get my check in 30 days. He stated that for some reason they seemed to be being a stickler for the rebate form.

Hopefully, I'll get the check. Better luck to all of you!

I called up about the $10 rebate and the woman said they never received. She gave me instructions to tear off the front page of both my 2002 and 2004 user manual (which I'm not doing) and send it in to some new address, so looks like I'm paying $7 for this.:disgust:
