I have a MS SQL 2000 datebase that I would like to secure from the Internet. I still want to be able to access it from scripts running on the same server.
I have marked the Hide property, but for some strange reason the SQL Server Service Manager wants to get on the internet every time I start my Computer. (I know this because Zonealarm alerts me)
I don't have any remote SQL servers listed in the SQL Server Client Network Utility, so why is it doing this ?
