MSE is the worst AntiVirus

Why do you all defend it like someone from your family has developed it?

Why do you keep attacking it as if one of the developers killed your favorite pet?

We all know that MSE is not the most effective anti-virus program available. But it's not completely worthless either. It works acceptably well for most people, it is free, it is easy to use, takes almost no resources, and will update itself automatically. When you consider that a very large number of people who have "premium" anti-virus programs are horribly out of date either because they don't know how to update it (or can't be bothered) or it requires an annual subscription renewal that they can't/won't do, MSE is a reasonable option.

I've never had an issue with MSE, and I visit some questionable websites. Never had an issue that MSE didn't catch in real time and fix. MSE is just so damn convenient. You never know it's there unless it catches something.

That being said, I downloaded Avast and it seems like a pretty good AV. 1st day with it so I can't speak of any pop-ups that typically come with free AV. A very minor annoyance is that Microsoft's Action Center keeps telling me there are problems with my anti-virus. Saying it's not up to date or it stopped working.

Sad people, really sad, when you insist on using an AV that is inferior to the competition that is also free! avast! Free AV stomps all over MSE
