I recently upgraded my computer. I changed my Athlon 500 to an 850, added 256 Megs of Ram to 384, added an IBM 75GXP, and an ATI AIW Radeon. I updated the Bios to 1.6, installed, everything worked, except random lockups. I had problems with all multimedia devices of the Radeon, esp. the capture. I returned it and installed my TNT Ultra. I reformatted, installed WIN 98Se, and everything is working ok. The only problems are: in Adobe Premiere 5.5 (I know it is a weird version, got it from a friend, might be the problem), when editing, outputting, previewing, etc., I sometimes get green vertical lines and similar problems, along with lockups, to appear on the screen. Whenever the power saving feature is used, after it comes back up, in 10 seconds it has all kinds of vertical lines, and then will lock hard; no mouse, nothing. I would like to be able to turn the Power saving function off, or at least fix the problem, so can anybody help? The "Disable ACPI" function from the original bios is gone. TIA.
