MSI 6380LE, not booting

i just finished putting together a new PC. Its got a MSI 6380LE motherboard, AMD 1.33GHz proc, enlight 7237 case/300w PS, 512 MB PC2100, Asus V7700 deluxe video, sblive xgamer5.1, and a 3com network card. when i turn the power on, all i get is 3 beeps. then it waits for about 2 seconds, and it beeps three times again. rinse, and repeat. i get nothing onscreen.

i checked the motherboard manual, and it has absolutely NOTHING about error's in it (GJ with that one, MSI). i checked the MSI FAQ's, and found nothing.

If you guys can give a little help, i'd appreciate it.

Does your board have the DLED function built in? Open up the case and check - there should be a stack of four LEDs near the I/O shield, where the parallel/serial ports are. Your motherboard should have come with a small booklet that tells the meaning of the codes the lights produce. Turn your machine on, and after a second or so, the lights should switch to whatever error code is causing the three beeps. Look in the booklet, then come back and tell us what it says

unfortunatly, i didnt get the plain old 6380 board, i got the 6380LE (lite edition), and it doesnt come with those onboard LEDs. i kinda regret getting this one instead. originally, i didnt get the other one because i dont need overclocking capabilities and whatnot.

anyway, there is good news. MSI uses AMI BIOS's. i found AMI's site, and got the beep codes. 3 beeps means you got bad RAM. i pulled out 1 of the 256 sticks, tried to boot. still got nothing, swapped the sticks, booted, and it was fine. put the second stick back into slot2 instead of slot1, and it booted fine with both sticks. im guessing the one that was in slot1 to begin wasnt in all the way or something (even though the clips were down). so, its workin fine now.

Hey, no problemo d00d That's a good thing about that RAM. I know what it's like to be stuck without any working memory
