This is the awesome one with voltage adjustments (very overclocker friendly). It can do both ppga and fc-pga.

This is an AMAZING price, definately a hot deal

Many Thanks for the post! I ordered myself two; I always had to go to the local shop to pay 15 bucks for a generic slocket with no-voltage adjustments; hopefully these will keep my systems w/ upcoming cumines happy for a while!

Ditto here. Thanks! Took the liberty of posting this at AGN as well, but gave credit to the Bad_Dude.

What the hell? I just ordered one Friday and soon after, they told me it was on backorder. Soooo I go and order an Asus converter for a few bucks more, I get an email the next day...backordered! What gives Onvia?? Their site claimed it was instock when i purchased the stuff. Anyway, I gave up and got an Abit slocket for $6.79 from AccessMicro.com. Came out to $11 something with shipping. It BETTER be in stock this time.

Hey Kaylor,
You should have waited. I ordered mine on Sat. and got it today, Tuesday. How about that? I also got the Asus S370-133 last Friday too. But I had to wait about 2 weeks for the Asus. Sorry that you got the Abit one since it was not as good as the MSI in overclocking. I heard the Asus and the MSI are about the same.

Well, I have an Asus on backorder with Onvia (almost 3 weeks now), but I went ahead and ordered the MSI as well. I can use one on my system, and one on my wife's whenever I decide she needs an upgrade.

Can someone that already received the slotket please let me know what version it is? Cpuforless.com has the version 2.0 and I am curious what version Onvia has. Also, does anyone know what the differences are between the version?

Thanks

Good timing on this deal, was planning on getting a fcpga to slot1 converter tomorrow. Hopefully the voltage adjustment works and I'll be able to run the cumine on my p2b. Don't feel like buying a new motherboard right now.

I got the Epox slocket(generic), but it works great for my P3. I got my 550E running at 733mhz no problem. Good luck. I would try to buy at a local place if not too overpriced. I've seen a lot of slockets, even the name brands, be defective out of box.

Seems like Onvia's website is stating alot of popular items are in stock when in fact they are on backorder. Case in point the Asus converter has stated it is in stock for the last 2 weeks when it's not, it's on backordere, same with the MSI.

I was afraid my MSI Slocket wouldn't be in stock, so I called and verified it with a rep.

Now I'll have to wait and see if it indeed was in stock like he told me it was.

they probably drop ship it from a warehouse near you anyway, to save on shipping and from having to keep a large inventory.I ordered one also , just need a processor now...

Bad_Dude: Why do you say that the Abit Slocket is bad? I have an old one and never had a problem with it. I've never known Abit to make lesser quality products, so I don't understand why an ASUS or MSI converter would be much better. BTW: im gonna be overcloking a 600e to 800+
