In my personal experience the Iwill is a better card than the MSI master. My 550E (cA2) needed a voltage bump on the MSI to achieve 794 while on the Iwill it does it perfectly @ default.

Just checked my order status for the order I made on 6-7-00 on this and it finally shows as shipped. They gave me the lower price, too. Just thought anyone else waiting would want to know. I never emailed or called about it.

what the hell is going on here? I sent an email asking if the rumour about people on the west coast getting them because it was in stock there while east coast people had to wait. The reply said that they did not ship on the basis of location, and that they were in stock now and the CSR was going to request that mine be filled. This was his reply:

We don't ship according to geographic region. This product has been out of stock for some time, but has now come in. I have asked that your order be filled as soon as possible.

I ordered mine on 6/30/2000. Email them a few times to complain. Yesterday, I found that the status was changed to shipped on 6/30/2000. Call their customer service to receive a tracking number and receive this email:

Hello,
I have checked with the warehouse and your item was on backorder. We
have manually filled your order and it is shipping out today under that tracking number. If you check the UPS site you will see updated status information later today.

So, you guys may want to call them to ship it "manually."

Just got my MSI 6905 Master sloket from Onvia. Did anyone notice that it does not have jumper J3 on it? This is version 2.3 in the black box. I guess it doesn't support smp like it says on the box.

Fiddy, I received a v2.3 from Onvia today as well. Mine has J3 located immediately beneath J1 along the right-hand side of the board. Are you sure yours doesn't have J3?

Best regards,
Floyd

Just got mine today. It's version 2.3 and it appears that J3 is right under J1 along the right side. J3 is the only one with the white jumper. Everything else is either green or red.

I got mine, also. So what's v2.3 do that's new and special? Any info?

BTW the pin positions on the right side of the card don't all match the illustration on the box, but they all seem to be there.

I ordered one yesterday, along with a P3-700 to put on it. The CPU was listed as in stock, the slocket was listed as out of stock. However, I got both today (with ground shipping, no less)! I have to say I've been very impressed with Onvia's service.

Maybe it's J4. If you look at the drawing on the back of the box it shows J4 (3 pins) J1 (2pins) and J3 (3pins) below the jumpers for voltage on the right side. Then if you read the jumper directions it list instructions for all three of them. Mine is missing either J3 or J4 on the card, one of the three pin jumpers. All I know is that there are not as many jumpers on the board as in the drawing on mine. Doesn't look like there is a place for one either.

Fiddy,

It's the J3 jumper that present. The J4 is missing. If you look carefully right next to the jumper there is a "3"

Damn this is sweet, just got one of my slockets in.

I'm running the 700 @ 133FSB = 933mhz with retail heatsink and fan

can't wait until the other slocket comes in for my dual P3 @ 933.

Money, your eyesight is a helluv better than mine! That "3" is so tiny. Well since it's J4 that's missing, I guess there is no cpu define for the FSB. In another words no biggie.

Onvia may be great for prices, provided you can get the items. They suck for customer service. I have ordered from them 4 times and never received a product. Twice were the slotkets, once about a month and a half ago. The first time, the site said they were in stock, then a couple days later got the back order mail, also stating when they became available again, they would be shipped. They lied. I never got any, and they proceeded to ship the next batch out to others. I placed another order as a result of this thread, again supposedly in stock, but again got the same crap as before. Really the issue I have is once they put the authorization on your credit card, then the funds are tied up for 5 business days until it falls off, then the bank releases the funds again. That's my money tied up for 10 days over two incidents. When I called, they offer no help...they don't know what customer service is as it pertains to action. Yes they are good at giving excuses.
The last time it was for 20 slotkets. I think they are trying to just get out of the free shipping on that quantity, but have to use some other excuse.

I got mine the other day (ver. 2.3)
Mine has the J4 jumper at the bottom of the voltage jumpers.
If you have the colored pin jumpers then the red are for voltage,
the green for J1 and J4 overclocking jumpers and white for J3 single/dual jumper.
There is another 3pin jumper J2 on the left side of the card that is green also but is reserved for ?????.
I haven't installed mine yet. I am looking for the best way to configure it with my Abit BH6 v.1.0. Anybody has any special settings for this combo? I seen a post a couple of weeks ago about this setup but can't find it.

Compuwiz, sorry to hear that your are having a tough time with Onvia. They have been great with me on my orders and especially on taking returns. I called them up to replace a defective monitor and got it the NEXT DAY! Yes the slocket said it was in stock when I ordered it and it took awhile to get but I figure they're still batting about 950 with their service.
