I'm wondering if would be worth it to wait for a cheaper 875 to come along for the increased memory bandwidth...

According to xbitlabs.

P4 3.0- 875- 800fsb = 3422 read, 248 Latency
P4 3.0- 865- 800fsb = 2639 read, 282 Latency

Any comments.

I eagerly await your reviews. When will the 2.8C P4 to be released and how much will it be? Heard of any MicroATX 865PE yet?

I hope those xbitlabs numbers are wrong.

The 845 chipset is actually doing better in the memory dept. than the 865.

Those memory scores at x-bit are whacked. In every other benchmark, with DDR400 the i865PE is right behind the i875

Well I just got my MSI 865P NEO board today from memorylabs.com and it is indeed the I865 Springdale chipset...........I am going to install it this weekend but again its the real deal I wonder how intel feels about companies releasing stuff before its offically released. But its got everything the canterwood chipset has minus the PAT thing at half the price I paided $105 shipped and out the door not bad for the latest and greatest chipset from Intel.....and it supports the 800 FSB which I didn't think it did.....it looks cool too the red PCB is nice can't wait to get this thing paired with my new radeon 9800 pro........I'll give a review once I get everything up and running.....

Indeed they are - their tests showed DDR400 performing 200MB/s worse than DDR333 (Cachemem read test). In real world tests the 865 was just a hair behind the 875. BTW, someone over at the Futuremark forums has recieved their board already, so it is not a fluke.

When you guys get them, here are a few things:

VCore range?
PCI/AGP lock?
Other PCI/AGP such as 34/68?
VDimm range?
533 MHz SSB mem ratios? (4:5, 3:4)
800 MHz mem ratios? (5:4, 3:2)

Hi Everyone,

Sorry about the fuss, but MSI has informed me that this product is still under NDA. Sorry for inconvience.

Cheers,

Kristopher

And what does that mean? People that have ordered them...will still get them? Some already have them.

Sounds like that is something that MSI may want to take up with some of these retailers...It has been in my experience that the retailers usually get them within less then a week of official launch date. Maybe they just jumped the gun a bit!!!

So does this mean my new MSI 865P Neo2 MB is like a beta of the springdale or something??? Or is it a finished product??
