i have msi b350 tomahwak and i'm using 2.1 speaker system (2 speakers and 1 subwoofer) which both speakers sound good but my subwoofer sounds bad.it's not amped and the bass is flat not boomy.both speakers connected to subwoofer by rca red white cable and my subwoofer connected to pc by 2 rca to 3.5mm red line out jack at rear port.same speaker system sounds awesome with my 7 year old intel core 2 duo pc which i sold 2 month before.tried evrything.should i buy a external dac or sound card because motherboard audio is not good enough? is there any solution? please help me.

The manual says that "CS-out" is the Center/Subwoofer out.

I would think Line Out to the 2 regular speakers and CS to the sub?

There is most certainly an amp in your speaker system. See the power plug on the sub? It's got 2 RCAs to one mini jack based on your pic, so I don't see it using anything beyond the port you are using.

You said the bass is flat, so you may just need to adjust the "bass" nob on the back of the unit. You might also want to check the Sound Effects tab in the software and make sure something wasn't turned on by mistake.

You don't need the 'Amp', that's just for headphones that are powered by the sound card. Yours has it's own amplifier built-in. It's probably just crappy audio quality from your Realtek ALC892 chipset. That's the exact one i have on my old Z97 board and it really sucks. I replaced it with this and it's infinitely better:

but i have 2.1 channel speaker and there not other port that can be connect to pc's cs out.
it should be work on stereo channel in realtek hd audio manager.

everything checked and not worked.actually i tried 4-5 2.1 channel speaker and i'm facing this issue since i bought this motherboard.

did you install that Nahimic software or whatever it is?

I have the arctic version with the same audio chipset and it was pretty mediocre until I played around with some of the EQ and effect settings

installed nahimic software used and now uninstalled. i talked to a msi technical expert and he's suggesting to get motherboard service or replacement.
which sound system are you using and is it playing sound through subwoofer black rear port?
