MSI B85M Gaming and overclocking the intel G3258

How is this board overclocking the G3258 for you guys? I've been using it to OC my G3258 for a week or so and it seems to be doing ok. I have the cpu doing 4.3ghz. at 1.240volts and 4.4ghz. 1.320volts. That's with a Arctic Freezer7 Pro Rev.2 cooler.

I just received the Cooler Master 212 Evo tonight and mounted it up to see if I could squeeze a bit more out of this little chip. I'm using x264 to stress test, it is the recommended tester in this guide http://www.overclock.net/t/1411077/haswell-overclocking-guide-with-statistics along with Prime 95. I'm finding I can pass a couple of hours of prime at lower volts but fails a x264, so I'm just going with x264 for now.

So what I'm tring to decide is if the MSI board is holding me back on my oc or if the chip has reached it's limit. Anyone getting stellar overclocks on this board with the G3258 or i5, i7K chips?

It's the MSI board.Point a fan right on the VRMs..it might do a little better.

It looks like it's the power delivery system that's holding your OC back..
The Pentium i have is junky..but it'll do 4.6 for daily.
I'd be happy with 4.4 with as little voltage as can be gotten away with on a board like that MSI.
4.4 Pentium is still really good.

Could increase the input voltage if the board didn't do it automatically already.

The haswell cpu's have built in vrm's as well, higher voltage from the board to cpu means less amps, so less stress on the board vrm's.

Ok, looks like vccin is the same thing as input voltage. Mine was deaulted to 1.700v I bumped it to 1.850v for some testing.

That's kind of what I figured, that's why I posted this thread to see if anyone has gotten noticeably higher clocks on this board, plus I'd like to drop a i5 k chip in it later next year.
