I sympathise; it sucks when stuff doesn't work but you don't need to start a new thread

edit: oh my bad, it's a different monitor... with the exact same problem as your previous monitor? And you're blaming the new monitor?

You have absolutely not said what settings you have set, out of the box.

Ghosting suggest two thing. Either you have overdrive set off, that causes low response times, or you have too high Overdrive, which cause overshoot(inverse Ghosting).

Post settings from the OSD, first, then we can talk.

i suspect it's not "ghosting" in the real sense. and "tearing" isn't an issue compared to the choppy/stuttering video playback of a broken windows/drivers/codecs setup

edit: of course something could be throttling or glitching because of his OCs, or something else as simple as a crappy cable. but it's not the monitor or it's settings

Exactly my thoughts.

Tearing also usually occurs when the Framerate of the playback video or game exceeds the monitor refresh rate.

Does the OP have actually set the monitor to 144 Hz refresh rate IN WINDOWS?

You have clearly 120 Hz in windows set up, while game runs at 144 Hz, with VSYNC ON.

Im surprised that you do not complain about stuttering, and instead you complain about tearing.

And I think we know the answer.

HDMI instead of Display Port connection.

Most budget monitors have FreeSync only available only on Display Port cable. Whats more, Display Port will give you 144 Hz with FreeSync, compared to HDMI.

Actually in nvidia it was nax 120hz option so now i chose 144 through windows graphic settings now at 144hz . Now can you tell what is freesync anti motion blur and response time normal fast or fastest? Which setting or combination to choose

Anti Motion Blur is what I presume the Backlight Strobing option. If so turn this off, you can turn on Fastest Overdrive Setting and FreeSync/Gsync on.

anti motion is already off freesync is on through msi osd and fastest response time is on game is butter smooth now and movies are also good NOW. one last question if freesync is on fps are going above 144 in game why also vsync needs to be enabled as well i am on gtx 1660ti

Because if FPS is going above 144 Hz it switches FreeSync OFF.

Hence the tearing you get.

Limit framerate in game to 143 FPS, and you will get: perfectly smooth motion, lower input lag, by lowering the GPU load, and overall general more responsive feel.

You do not need to have VSYNC on if you have frame limited in game to 143 FPS.

VSYNC adds input lag, which is why the good idea is to limit the framerate in game(you have to have this option in competitive games) to 1 FPS below the FreeSync threshold, and 3 FPS below GSYNC threshold.

Visualize victory with the MSI Optix G241 eSports gaming monitor and the picture quality 4.8/5, brightness 4.5/5, and many other specialties that make this monitor is good. Equipped with a 1920x1080, 144hz Refresh rate, 1ms response time the Optix G241 can match the display's refresh rate with your GPU for ultra-smooth gameplay. You should have to check the software, it may be there is a software problem.
