Are there any reviews of the MSI G4Ti4400-VTD out there besides the one at hexus.net?

Do any of you have one of these cards. If so, how well has it performed? Is it as fast as the other GF4 4400 Ti cards? Thanks!

I got mine yesturday and so far so good. I got 7540 3d2001 marks with only a celery 1.2 ghz @ 1.32 ghz so I think that's pretty good(i used the 28.80 drivers;up from 7145 3d2001 marks with the 2750's that came with the card) I haven't yet tried out the vivo functions yet so I'm not sure about that. The bundle is amazing and comes with the vivo connector that msi shows on it's product page not the cheap lookin' one that the reviewers show at hexus or the other reviews of the msi ti4600 vtd. Excellent package...lots of games and demos....I'm absolutely confident I made a good purchase at this point. By the way it does come with the phillips 108e tv chip and that's supposed to be one of the better ones from what i've read else where (correct me if I'm wrong). I was hoping that it would have the 2.8ns ram (wishfull thinking with a ti4400) but it has the 3.6 ns stuff. I haven't tried overclocking it yet as I only got it last night and I wanted to spend time with my wife and kids too.

as mentioned before it comes with a great software package. this and the gainward are the two best, in my opinion, thus far. however i would wait until AT does there comprehensive review (coming soon) to make a final choice. they may find something that no one else has mentioned.

Poke888 or any other owner of this card, does the video-in fuction work with both S-video and RCA signals? Furthermore, does it have TV tuner functionality, so that you can connect it to your standard TV antenna and tune between channels (and record movies and so on)? I use another separate TV-tuner card now, but it'd be nice to have it all in one card...

Hmmm, it has 4 Input Connectors, and 4 Output Connectors..

The two inputs are (SVIDEO/RCA).

The two outputs are (SVIDEO/RCA)..

Each connector is distinct (Ie. there's 4 of them)..

Not TV Tuner though, but I guess you can get the personal cinema for that.

The vivo functions work quite flawlessly on my msi ti4400. It doen't have a tv tuner connector but I had a spare vcr sitting around and so yesturday I split my cable tv and ran it to my computer room and I downloaded some program that allows you to view whatever is coming in from the video in on any card that supports video in and voila! it worked like a charm...that program works amazingly well and it's only a 45kb file size(I didn't believe it at first but sure enough it worked here is the link for that program

I'm telling you the msi ti4400 is an amazing card no matter what others say...I've owned a gf2 gts...then a gf3 ti200 and then a radeon 8500 and I must say that the msi card is simply the best one I've owned. It comes with the awesome vivo connector shown on the msi product page and not the cheap lookin' dongle that some reviewers got...works awesome....get this card if you are able!

I just got one of these and it works flawlessly....10,252 3dmark2k1se on a p4 2.4. Haven't tested the VIVO functionality yet but the quality of everything looks top notch. The VIVO breakout cable is great. And dont forget it comes with 9 CDs (drivers, utilities, dvd software player, 2 cds of video capturing and editing software, 3 full games, 1 demo games cd). Highly recommended especially since it's down to $240.

Fant, where did you get your from? What was the batch number? I hear a lot of bad stuff about batch #20. Apparently some bad ram or something like that.

Which do you consider to be better for the VIVO out connector? The MSI little "block" connector, or the 4 cable breakout connector?

I am planning on getting the MSI TI4400, but I want to make sure that I get the latest revision with the NV25C Revision core. Any help or opinions would be appreciated!

I got my MSI GF4 Ti4400 today!

It is a thing of beauty... overclocks to GF4-Ti4600 speeds at a minimum and basicly runs like a bat out of hell!

I am really liking the software. The WinProducer software is great for taking divx files and making VCD's. The 3 full games are a bonus too although I already had the only two that mattered to me.

I haven't tried the vivo stuff yet but 100fps+ in Q3 at 1600x1200x32 with everything maxed out should give you a clue how buff this card is....

I would buy another in a heartbeat. Anand has a fine review on this card. http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1613&p=6

Hmm... how can I tell the batch # of my card? Where is it located?

The batch number is on a sticker on the back of the card. Look for a row of little yellow stickers with red lettering. I have one from batch 20 and it's fine. I think the cards that had the problems were from a pretty early run, they weren't packaged with the DVI/VGA converter or new VIVO cable.

Not too shabby as compared to the old GF2 Pro I tried bumping it up to 300/650, which I believe are Ti4600 levels, and I started getting artifacts in 3DMark. Oh well.. it's more than fast enough for me as is. Came packaged very well from Newegg as always and came with a TON of software. Wasn't too impressed with the MSI bundle, since most of it I doubt I'll use, but the VIVO stuff and the games are a great touch.

Yeah, I have one of those then. After a month running fine, it started artifacting in 2D, then locked up. Now the computer corrupts the video even at the BIOS screen, and locks up before Windows 2000 loads. I'm returning the card, but I can only get another MSI back, hope it is a newer batch.

PS. I wonder if the newer cards have a quieter fan... because mine drives me crazy.
