Would this be a worth while upgrade over a GTX260 core 216?

yes, it's an upgrade over a GTX 260 216--I find it to be marginally faster/smoother than my GTX 285, albeit with less heat/noise. $115 AR is a decent, but not great, deal--I just bought the same card from NCIX for $100 AR less than 1 month ago.

Basically identical. The 560 is just a 460 overclocked to 850MHz, with some efficiency tweaks. This card is at 760MHz, so it's about 10% slower, and can probably hit 850 pretty easily.
822 is stock for 560 I think.

I am looking around once again after not keeping up on the market and tech.
I have a Sapphire Toxic Radeon 3870 HD which I think the fan needs replacing/fixing (I hear scrapes and stuff coming from the PC).

Thoughts?

edit: Holy crap! I am watching the YouTube unboxing and that card is HUGE. It is like a mini motherboard. I wonder if I could even fit that in my computer.

GTX 560 is GTX 460 1 gb clocked at 810. The current lowest price for a GTX 560 (with reference cooler) is $170's AR at NE--definitely not worth it. A GTX 560 Ti, on the other hand, is about 30% faster than a GTX 460 1 gb (reference to reference). The current price of MSI GTX 560 Ti is $230 AR, or double that of this card. Two MSI GTX 460 Hawk's in SLI can no doubt run circles around a single 560 Ti, or even match a GTX 570.

I wish I could find a good place with similar pricing that doesn't charge tax and/or shipping.

NCIX being in CA will tax me $10.51. Amazon and Tiger don't have this deal. They list them in the $200 range.

With NE I can get guaranteed 3 day UPS shipping for free, or wait 2-8 business days for NCIX free ground shipping promo...also NE has the extended warranty option...decisions...peace of mind for a little more...?

another edit: Went ahead and purchased it at NCIX for $159.85 which includes tax and the $4.35 shipping ins / rma.

2 gtx Hawks will = a gtx580.

that's a bit over-optimistic. As I recall, GTX 460 1gb SLI surpasses GTX 480 and matches or just underperforms a GTX 570, but not quite enough to catch a 580 (GTX 560 Ti SLI probably can). Nontheless, it's still quite a bargain, esp. if you can find one for $100 AR each. Looks like GTX 460 stocks are starting to dry up (NE no longer carries the 768 mb version) and are finally being phased out by 560.

I said 2 Hawks, not 2 regular 675 core gtx460's. Hawks come with a 10% overclock out of the box @ 780 core. That put it a little faster than a 6850 and a tad slower than a 6870.

A pair of gtx460's beats the crap out of a gtx480 with 460 release drivers.

I upgraded from a 4890. I was able to overclock an EGVA SC version from 763 to 880. At that point it was a nice upgrade with lower temps, quieter fan, and less power draw.

What's the shipping? I notice NCIX doesn't specify and I don't want to create an account just to check.

This could make a nice upgrade from my Radeon 4850.

Looks like the price just jumped to 127.66 AR. I swear it was $115 less than 5 minutes ago.

Edit: Nevermind. It looks like the OP's link applies Savings Code 55409-1339, which drops the price to $115 AR. When I found the card through the NCIX website, it gave me the higher price.
