MSI K7D Master

Anyone running this board? Specifically, the 6105-030 board, with the fixed southbridge. I'm looking at getting this board to run my 2 1800XPs, was wondering if anyone had this board and any input on it.

I have the version with the removed USB ports, and it is one of the most stable boards I have ever run. I had 2 1800 MPs in it, but did not have one HSF seated properly. (Fried MP ) I had another non-MP 1800 around that did not have the last L5 cut, and it is working very well with the other MP. So far I am able to run the FSB at 143 with both processors. I am hoping for 150 when I get my waterblocks installed. With the single MP, it ran very well at 150. It is nice to have VCore/FSB/multiplier adjustments on a dual board. I am either going to multiplier unlock the non-MP, or just pick up another MP to use the multiplier adjustment feature.

Removed USB ports? Which model is that? I'm looking at the 6105-030, which is the latest one, that has all the fixes in it. I don't believe the USB ports were removed.

The parts have been ordered, so I'll be building quite soon. Board should be here by Monday, along with the 431 watt, Enermax psu.

I picked up a refurb from Newegg. ($125.00) It is a version 1 (green) with no USB ports. I slapped in a USB 2.0 card that I had around. You should be very happy with your new board.

That was a good review! I actually received my board last Friday and its been pretty smooth sailing, except for the BIOS flashing ordeal. I did have a hiccup with their CD they sent -- the CD is not readable in any of my systems.

Also, the onboard Intel NIC is not auto detected at all, nor can I get a driver off MSI's site for the silly thing. Intel's site is mildy helpful, but the driver I downloaded isn't working under Win2k. My current 3com card is holding me down, but I want to free up that PCI slot for a firewire card. Anyone know where I can get the drivers for this Intel 82559ER nic? Intel's driver, off their site, isn't quite working for me.
