Or are they supposed to be off, it's very annoying, my fans are very loud, the computer I had before, whenever I put it into sleep mode, every fan are turned off, but with this mobo, it doesn't is there a way around this. pls. help.
Yes, suspend or hibernate mode, all the fans are still on, intake fan, chassis fan, my previous computer, an AMD K6III450, all the fans, not sure about the cpu fan turn themselves off during suspend/sleep mode. I'm not sure why this mobo doesn't do that. It should, since if other mobos does it, why can't this one do it.
This is strange! Amaretto747 yuo say that your fans are on even in hibernate mode?? I had that mobo before (msi k7tpro2a) and all fans stopped in hibernate mode!
The MSI K7T Pro 2A BIOS has two options for suspend mode. S1 and S3 I think. The S1 mode will only partially suspend like, HDDs and Monitor. The S3 mode will shut off everything including fans.
Yeah, I looked it up in the manual and it does say S3 shuts down everything, including the cpu and only maintains system memory. I tried S3 mode, but the same thing happenend, all the fans are on. Bummer, I always have to turn the computer off instead of just going into sleep mode because of the noise. Anyone there who owns this type of mobo who knows how to fix this.
