I've got a problem with my Turbo-mobo.
I can't change my vcore!!! It stays at 1,85V whatever i do. I've mailed MSI but haven't gotten any answer from them so now i turn to you who may read this.

Any tip? Is it a BIOS-issue? I've got the W6330vms.267 BIOS now but i had the same problem with my earlier versions as far as i can remember.

Pleeeeaaaase help. My T-bird runs a bit hotter than i want it to and as far as i can guess the vcore is a major factor there.

Hmmm,

I have the same board and have used bios 2.4, 2.5 and currently using the overclockers 1.6. I have had voltage control on all of them. Sounds like you may have a bad board I guess?

You have the rong BIOS update, i just flashed my Turbo today and it works GREAT. Find the VERY latest BIOS update for the board on msi's site here:
http://www.msi.com.tw/support/bios/mainboard/6xxx/k7t_turbo/k7t_turbo.htm

Download this zip file: wk7t_turbov10b16
1.)Make a sartup disk through windows(find add remove programs in the control panel and click on the startup disk tab)
2.)Extract the wk7t_turbov10b16 zip file you just downloaded STRAIGHT to the boot disk you just made
3.)Restart windows and make sure your first boot device is set to floppy
4.)When your computer loads the boot disk and asks you to enter a choice press F5
5.)When you see the A:\ symbole type in AWFL789/nbl/py/sn/cc/r/ld then press enter
6.)Then, when it loads the AWARD Bios Flash Utility type in this in the little grey box W6330VSP.10G

Now i've tried everything i can think of...

I've used BIOS 2.4, 2.5, 2.7 an just now the 1.0Beta16.

Every time i adjust the vcore to 1.75V, or anything else for that matter, nothing happens!!!
Both the BIOS and PC Alert says the vcore is 1.87V!!!

I can't think of anything that i haven't tried now...
Do you think it's a faulty mobo?

It may be your chip bro, do you have another Soket-A you could test it with?

This a known issue with MSI motherboards. Adjust your vcore to 1.625 and then reboot. you should now have 1.75 or there abouts. Gary.

okydoky is right the turbos when set to default or 1.75 always set to 1.87-1.88 just do as he says and set to 1.625 and you should be good

I have a MSI K7T Turbo, my problem is that the Vcore always turns out to be 0.1 greater than I set it to. Defaul s/b 1.75 but it boots up at 1.85 if god forbid I set it to 1.85 it boots at 1.95 (and hot), so I leave it at 1.55, which is then 1.65 maybe Ill go flash the bios?

I love anandtech forums... my vcore is 1.85 too and now I know what to try to change when I get home.

I have a question though. I just flashed to 2.7 bios should I install the newest beta one? I notice it says "for power users and overclockers." What features does it add? Or better yet why should I use it?

Also... uh...um... don't laugh.... but I just build this computer and I don't have a floppy drive. I'm thinking I could use a c-rw and boot from it. What all do I need to make it bootable? Don't I just copy command.com or something? And then I could just follow the instuctions for the floppy right?

Thanks
