I'm in the process of trying to get a new system up and running. It will be using an MSI K7T266Pro mb. I have 512 mb PC1600 Crucial Ram to go along with the 1.1 Ghz T-Bird. I'm trying to use the Western Digital 20Gb drive that came out of the old system so I won't lose any data.
On putting the system together, I immediately get Blue Screened in Win2k. Try many different things to get it to work, but no dice. Finally, I was able to back up my important data onto another drive, so I formatted my WD. Win2k installed nice and fine for me.
Here's where the strange issue comes in. After the inital install, and Win2k says it has to reboot, it constantly reboots. it won't finish loading Win2k. If I run Win2k in Safe Mode, all's fine. But if I let it try to load normally, no dice. Any ideas?
By the way, the CPU and ram all worked fine on a different board. The harddrive worked fine on yet another board. Now that I throw them all together, no dice.
